Role Description
We are looking for 6 Environmental Health Safety Specialist position out at CNRL. you will oversee occupational health and safety programs, ensure compliance with environmental and workplace safety regulations, and proactively identify and mitigate risks. Responsibilities include conducting safety audits, facilitating training programs, managing incident investigations, and maintaining accurate documentation to support compliance. You will collaborate with teams across the organization to foster a safety-focused culture and ensure adherence to Canoco's industry-leading standards for health and safety.
Qualifications
- Expertise in Health & Safety, including Occupational Health and Environment Health and Safety (EHS) programs
- Proficiency in Workplace Safety and Safety Training methodologies
- Experience in conducting risk assessments, safety audits, and implementing corrective actions
- Strong knowledge of local, provincial, and federal safety regulations and environmental laws
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with teams effectively
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Relevant certifications such as CRSP (Canadian Registered Safety Professional) or equivalent are an asset
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field is preferred
