JOB OBJECTIVES/KNOWLEDGE BASE
1. Ensure all necessary HSE procedures and processes are implemented on the given project or site
2. Provide HSE induction/orientation for all employees
3. Assist in scheduling/arranging/delivering HSE training to Novus employees in order to maintain a strong level of HSE awareness during the project
4. Ensure that all personnel are aware of all emergency response plans/procedures
5. Prepare and submit any and all necessary reports to Novus and or Client management
6. Undertake/participate in any and all audit activities and follow-up on the implementation of any corrective actions
7. Identify unsafe actions/conditions and provide recommendations for improvement
8. Coach and assist field personnel in achieving a safe and healthy workplace
9. Other ad-hoc duties as assigned from time to time
EDUCATION SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Certificate/Diploma/Degree in occupational safety
- Minimum of three years’ experience in a construction environment (Preferably Oil & Gas)
- Construction Safety Officer (CSO) or equivalent designation
- Good computer skills (Microsoft office, power-point etc.)
- Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
Must be able to communicate effectively both formally and informally, orally and in writing, on technical and non-technical issues with all of those with whom working interfaces arise whether they be internal or external.

Pay: $71,709.09-$131,410.13 per year
