About Us
Water Softener Edmonton is a fast-growing company specializing in residential and commercial water treatment solutions, including water softeners, reverse osmosis systems, and custom filtration setups.
We are scaling quickly and building a strong operational backbone — and we need a hands-on Operations Manager who understands both the field (plumbing) and the backend (warehouse + coordination).
This is not a desk-only role. This is a high-impact position where you will own daily operations and ensure everything runs smoothly from order to installation.
Role Overview
As the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for end-to-end operations — from scheduling jobs and managing inventory to supporting technicians and troubleshooting systems.
You will act as the bridge between sales, warehouse, technicians, vendors, and customers, ensuring efficiency, quality, and accountability across all operations.
Key ResponsibilitiesOperations & Scheduling
- Manage daily job scheduling and dispatching of technicians
- Coordinate between sales team, technicians, warehouse, and customers
- Ensure jobs are completed on time and to company standards
- Monitor installation pipeline and proactively resolve delays
- Handle urgent and adhoc operational issues in real-time
Technical & Field Support
- Troubleshoot water softeners and RO systems (residential & commercial)
- Provide guidance to technicians on-site or remotely
- Support commercial plumbing installations for water treatment systems
- Ensure installations follow SOPs and best practices
Warehouse & Inventory Management
- Oversee inventory levels (softeners, RO systems, parts, fittings)
- Ensure proper stock planning to avoid delays
- Maintain organized and efficient warehouse operations
- Prepare job kits and ensure technicians have required materials
- Track usage and minimize wastage/loss
Vendor & Order Management
- Coordinate with suppliers for ordering equipment and parts
- Manage pricing, lead times, and order tracking
- Ensure timely delivery of materials for scheduled jobs
Process & Performance Management
- Improve operational workflows and efficiency
- Track job progress, completion timelines, and quality
- Maintain accurate records in CRM and internal systems
- Take ownership of operational KPIs (job completion, delays, callbacks, etc.)
RequirementsMust-Have
- Minimum 1 year of plumbing experience (mandatory)
- Experience in water treatment OR plumbing industry
- Strong troubleshooting knowledge of water softeners and RO systems
- Experience with commercial plumbing setups (softeners/filtration systems)
Operational Skills
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations & inventory management
- Experience managing vendors and supplier coordination
- Proven ability to schedule and manage field technicians
