We are seeking a Senior Environmental Planner / Project Manager to join our Assessment & Permitting team within Environmental Services. This role focuses on Provincial and Federal Environmental Impact Assessments and is suited for a senior consultant who has led federal EA projects in a seller-doer capacity within a consulting environment.
This is a high-impact, senior individual contributor role with influence across project delivery, client relationships, and team leadership.
What You’ll Do
- Lead Federal and Provincial Environmental Impact Assessments for mining, infrastructure, industrial, renewable energy, and community development projects
- Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and deliverables
- Prepare and oversee proposals, technical reports, and regulatory submissions
- Conduct and oversee desktop studies and regulatory analysis
- Design and implement stakeholder and Indigenous consultation programs
- Liaise with clients, regulators, internal teams, and the public
- Build and maintain strong client relationships and support business development
- Mentor and guide staff within the Assessment & Permitting team
- Participate in key client meetings, industry events, and professional organizations
What You Bring
- 15+ years of experience in environmental consulting
- Demonstrated experience leading Federal-level Environmental Impact Assessments
- Strong project management skills with consistent delivery on time and budget
- Excellent technical writing, presentation, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
- Willingness to undertake periodic regional travel
Education & Credentials
- Degree or post-graduate diploma in Environmental Planning, Environmental Studies, or a related field
- Experience with Federal IA, Class EA, TPAP, Ontario Energy Board, and/or Canada Energy Regulator processes preferred
- Professional designation or membership (OPPI, OAIA, ECO Canada EP) considered an asset

- Consulting experience in environmental assessment and permitting

- Project financing exposure
- Mentoring and developing junior staff
- Strategic planning, RFP development, and project pre-positioning
