Environmental Technician
ENTECH Environmental Consultants Ltd., is seeking a motivated and reliable Environmental Technician to join our team. This position will initially begin as a part-time role during the summer season and is expected to transition into a temporary full-time position to provide maternity leave coverage.
The successful candidate will support environmental assessment and contaminated sites projects throughout the Lower Mainland and North Shore.
Responsibilities
- Assist with Stage 1 and Stage 2 Preliminary Site Investigations (PSI)
- Conduct field investigations, site visits, and environmental sampling
- Support contaminated sites assessments and reporting
- Coordinate with project managers and field subcontractors
- Maintain accurate field notes and documentation
- Assist with preparation of technical reports and data review
Qualifications
- Minimum Technical Diploma in Environmental Studies, Environmental Technology, or a related field
- Preference will be given to candidates with experience in contaminated sites investigations
- Familiarity with Stage 1 and Stage 2 Preliminary Site Investigations is considered a strong asset
- Comfortable conducting fieldwork and traveling to project sites throughout the Lower Mainland and North Shore
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Position Details
- Initial part-time summer position
- Transition to temporary full-time employment for maternity leave coverage
- This is not a hybrid or remote position; attendance at the office and project sites is required
Compensation
- Hourly wage: $28.00 to $32.00 per hour, depending on qualifications and relevant work experience
- Health benefits will be provided upon commencement of full-time employment
