The Petal Paradise is a non-profit flower farm and pollinator sanctuary in Tsawwassen, BC. We grow cut flowers and offer u-pick & picnic spaces. We are expanding a pollinator playground of native and nectar rich flowers for butterflies, hummingbirds and bees. Should be able to carry 30kg. Activities include:Prepare soil, plant bulbs, seeds and cuttings and transplant seedlings and rooted cuttingsMonitor plants for healthy growth and potential weed, insect, diseaseMonitor soil health and attributes through pH, moisture and carbon content measuring and recordingTreat and support flowers and plants to prevent disease and pestsPosition and regulate outdoor irrigation systems to water plants and field and use inline digital monitors to adjust asper needs of plantsDig, cut and transplant flowers and plants and prepare them for saleMay provide information (that will be provided) to visitors on gardening and the care of flowers and plantsMay operate machinery and equipment to cultivate and harvest plantsClean working areas and equipmentCalculate row spacings, feeding and seeding ratesPotential for building structures for plant support and providing shade to visitors, if the person is interested in construction
