The successful candidate will work closely with our regional team of 22 engineers, EITs, and technologists based out of Winnipeg, Thunder Bay, and Saskatoon and supported by our wider, western Canada team of over 200 geotechnical engineering staff.
As a Senior Geotechnical Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on engineering and geotechnical projects in a multi-discipline project team environment. - You will work with a team of engineers and technologists/technicians performing general geotechnical responsibilities including coordinating/performing field programs and preparing proposals, technical deliverables, calculations, reports, specifications, and drawings.
- Leading projects that include geotechnical investigations, geotechnical analyses, report writing, and contract administration.
- Overseeing and/or completing geotechnical assignments which will include both field and office-based work.
- Providing guidance and mentorship to junior staff.
- Scheduling, scoping, budgeting, and coordinating with subcontractors.
- Actively participating in Stantec’s risk management and quality procedures.
- Leading by example for Stantec’s Health and Safety Framework
- Building collaborative, respectful and effective relationships within Stantec.

- A Valid Driver’s License; must be willing to provide a driver’s abstract for review.
- Registration as Professional Engineer in the Province of Manitoba.
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering from a recognized university with direct exposure to Geotechnical course work.
- Previous geotechnical experience in a similar geotechnical engineering role.

Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
