Agilus by Synergie is recruiting for a Health, Safety and Environment Advisor in the chemical manufacturing industry in Slave Lake, Alberta.
The HSE Advisor is responsible for implementing and maintaining health, safety, and environmental programs to ensure a safe and compliant workplace. The role supports operations by identifying hazards, conducting inspections, assisting with incident investigations, and promoting safe work practices.
Total rewards:
- $100000.00 annually
- Steady Monday–Friday schedule with consistent work hours
- Monday to Friday 8:00 am – 4:30 pm
- Annual bonus- 7.5% of base pay

Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with HSE regulations, codes, and company policies. Maintain HSE documentation and record
- Coordinate safety orientation and onboarding for new hires
- Identify workplace hazards and help develop effective controls
- Conduct site inspections and audits of safety practices
- Assist with incident investigations and reporting
- Participate in audits (e.g., COR) and safety program
- Assist with emergency response planning and environmental monitoring
- Develop and deliver monthly safety meeting presentation
Successful candidates will have
- Diploma, certificate, or degree in Occupational Health & Safety (or CRSP designation preferred)
- National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) certification required
- Minimum 5 years of HSE experience (industrial/chemical environment preferred)
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and incident investigation processes
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database systems
- ICS 300 certification considered an asset
