Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Research and Program Support professional to assist with ongoing community-based research projects, data management, and program support in a dynamic non-profit/charitable organization. Working collaboratively with the CSPC staff team and community/government partners, the position involves two main roles: 1) supporting CSPC’s funded and non-funded community-based research projects, and 2) overseeing the day-to-day operation of the Low-Income Transit Program and all related responsibilities.

Research Responsibilities

Community Engagement/Approaches

Support participatory, community-based research approaches

Conduct literature reviews and environmental scans.

Conduct surveys, interviews, focus groups, and community consultations

Ensure high ethical standards for research and obtain ethics approvals as required.

Ensure research approaches reflect community priorities and lived experiences and includes diverse voices.

Data Collection and Analysis

Collect qualitative and quantitative data using various methods.

Analyze data using appropriate research techniques and software.

Identify trends, challenges, and opportunities relevant to community issues.

Maintain accurate and confidential records of research activities.

Knowledge Mobilization and Reporting

Prepare research reports, briefs, presentations, and infographics often with tight deadlines.

Present findings to community groups, funders, and policymakers.

Support grant applications and program evaluations with research evidence.

GIS Mapping and Spatial Analysis

Develop and maintain GIS databases for housing and service locations, and community resources.

Create maps and conduct spatial analyses that identify service gaps, population trends, housing needs, and geographic patterns.

Integrate demographic, census, health, housing, and community data into CSPC’s mapping platform.

Produce high-quality maps, dashboards, and visualizations for reports, presentations, and public engagement.

Support data-driven planning and resource allocation through spatial analysis.

Program Responsibilities

Low-Income Transit Program

Process, order, and package tickets/passes resolving problems with orders as they arise

Maintain an open communication with non-profit partners and share relevant program information/updates as needed.

Communicate with non-profit partners about the program and interface with BC Transit.

Ensure accurate records are kept and work closely with the finance manager to track payments and follow up as needed.

Pay: $30.00-$32.00 per hour
