Silvachar Environmental Inc., is an affiliate of Silvatech Consulting Ltd. Silvachar is turning forest waste biomass, into biochar to be used as a soil amendment in agriculture, horticulture, silviculture and site restoration operations. Silvachar is seeking a mature person to work with our crew in the operation of a biochar plant near Salmon Arm, BC. Training will be provided. Wage level $20-30/hr, depending upon skills and experience. This is a full-time, year round position.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience in manufacturing and operating processing and packaging equipment
· Mechanical/electrical aptitude, working with mechanized equipment an asset.
· Efficient and safety conscious with field operations and equipment
· Good written and interpersonal communication skills in English
· Good motivational / team player skills
· A mature, flexible, production/safety focus
· Basic computer/technology skills
· Valid BC driver’s license, class 3 an asset
· Operation of vehicles and loading equipment
· Physically fit
· Level 1 First Aid, S100, ATV safety and WHIMIS as asset

· Crew person operating biochar reactor
· Operation of loading equipment
· Operating processing equipment
· Safety protocol adherence
· Troubleshooting mechanical/electrical equipment problems
· Repair and maintenance of equipment
