Renewable Energy Engineer (Entry-Level)

Location: Toronto, ON (hybrid)

Salary: CAD $80,000 - $110,000, depending on experience

Type: Full-time, permanent

About us

We are a clean energy company that develops, builds, owns and operates renewable projects across Canada. Our growing portfolio spans utility-scale solar, wind and battery energy storage (BESS), and as a long-term owner we stay with every project from the first feasibility study through years of operation. We are expanding our Toronto team and looking for an entry-level engineer who wants to help build Canada's clean energy future.

What you will do

You will support engineering across our project pipeline, learning from experienced engineers while taking on real responsibility from the start. Your work will include:
Supporting engineering design and technical reviews for solar, wind and BESS projects at every stage
Preparing energy production estimates, site evaluations and technical due diligence
Assisting with grid connection applications and coordination with utilities and system operators, including IESO processes
Reviewing technical submittals from EPC contractors, consultants and equipment vendors
Supporting construction and commissioning, with travel to project sites across Canada
Analyzing performance data from operating assets and recommending improvements
Contributing to the tools, templates and standards our engineering team runs on

What we are looking for

A bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, civil or environmental engineering, or a related field
A demonstrated interest in renewable energy and the clean energy transition
Strong analytical ability and comfort working with data and spreadsheets
Clear written and verbal communication, with the ability to make technical topics simple
Initiative and curiosity: you take ownership, ask good questions and learn quickly
Eligibility to work in Canada
Internship, co-op or project experience in energy is an asset but not required. Registration or intent to register as an EIT (Engineer in Training) is also an asset. We hire for aptitude and attitude, and we invest in developing our engineers.

What we offer

CAD $70,000 - $90,000 base salary, depending on experience
Hybrid working from our Toronto office
A structured development path with mentorship from senior engineers
Hands-on exposure to the full project lifecycle across three technologies
Extended health and dental benefits, RRSP matching, and generous vacation
Support for professional development, including your path to P.Eng. licensure
The chance to grow with a company building and operating real clean energy assets

How to apply

Apply with your resume and a short note on why this role interests you. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.

We are an equal opportunity employer committed to building a diverse and inclusive team. Accommodations are available on request for candidates taking part in all aspects of the selection process.
