Job Title: Environmental Monitoring & Bulk Compost Coordinator
Location: Multi-site coverage (regional travel required)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and environmentally focused professional to implement the company’s environmental monitoring and materials testing while supporting the sales and distribution of bulk compost products. This role blends customer engagement with environmental stewardship, ensuring compost products are effectively utilized while supporting compliance, data collection, and reporting initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the coordination and fulfillment of bulk compost sales across multiple production sites
- Build and maintain relationships with agricultural clients, landscapers, municipalities, and commercial partners
- Act as a key point of contact for customers, providing guidance on compost applications, benefits, and best practices
- Collaborate with site managers to align product availability, quality standards, and delivery schedules
- Support in the completion of environmental monitoring programs related to the company
- Collect, track, and analyze environmental data (e.g., soil health, nutrient management, regulatory compliance metrics)
- Prepare reports and documentation to support internal sustainability goals and external regulatory requirements
- Coordinate with environmental, operations, and compliance teams to ensure adherence to applicable regulations and permits
- Participate in site inspections, audits, and field assessments
- Support outreach initiatives, including seminars, industry tradeshows, site visits, and stakeholder engagement activities
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, compost distribution volumes, and monitoring data
Qualifications:
- Diploma from a recognized Community College or Institute of Technology in Environmental, Agricultural, Civil Engineering or equivalent training or experience.
- Experience in agriculture, environmental services, waste management, or a related field
- Knowledge of composting, soil science, environmental monitoring, or land application practices
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to interpret environmental data and contribute to reporting efforts
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple sites and priorities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data management systems (GIS or environmental reporting tools considered an asset)
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel regularly
