Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain workplace health and safety programs
- Conduct regular site inspections and hazard assessments
- Ensure compliance with local, provincial/state, and federal safety regulations
- Investigate workplace incidents, accidents, and near-misses; prepare reports and recommend corrective actions
- Deliver safety training sessions and toolbox talks to employees
- Maintain accurate safety records and documentation
- Collaborate with management and staff to improve safety practices
- Monitor the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Stay up to date with industry safety standards and best practices
Qualifications:
- Diploma or degree in Occupational Health & Safety or a related field
- Certification such as CRSP, CSP, or equivalent (preferred)
- 2+ years of experience in a safety-related role
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards
- Excellent communication and training skills
- Ability to identify hazards and implement effective solutions
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
Working Conditions:
