✨ To support our growth, we are looking for a QHSE Supervisor to join our team
Responsabilities
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and drive continuous improvement in operational processes
- Monitor and enforce quality control measures across departments
- Support the preparation and execution of external audits (e.g., ISO 9001)
- Supervise the development and enforcement of health and safety programs in the workplace
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify hazards and mitigate risks
- Lead accident and incident investigations and ensure corrective actions are implemented and documented
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and promote sustainable practices
- Raise environmental awareness and oversee waste management, recycling, and energy conservation initiatives
- Deliver training and awareness sessions on QHSE practices, regulatory compliance, and emergency response procedures
- Maintain records of training and certifications to ensure employees meet required qualifications
- Identify potential health, safety, and environmental risks and implement mitigation strategies
- Investigate incidents, near misses, and safety concerns and ensure corrective measures are applied
- Ensure compliance with applicable local, provincial, and federal QHSE regulations
- Prepare reports on QHSE performance, trends, and key issues for management
- Support the QHSE Manager in maintaining and updating compliance documentation
- Maintain emergency response plans, conduct drills, and ensure readiness of emergency equipment
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in QHSE processes
- Monitor and track QHSE KPIs and support the achievement of organizational objectives
Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a QHSE role
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations, environmental standards, and quality management systems
- Relevant certifications such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, or equivalent are considered an asset
- Ability to work in various environments (office, shop floor, or field)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to train and mentor employees on QHSE matters
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and QHSE management tools
- Advanced French and intermediate English (bilingualism is an asset)
