Purpose of the Position
In this full‑time role, you will lead and support environmental field programs across Alberta, completing biophysical assessments, wildlife sweeps, fish habitat assessments, and water quality monitoring. The position involves extended field rotations in remote environments.This role can be based out of Calgary, Edmonton, or Grande Prairie.
Responsibilities
· Conduct biophysical assessments, including wetland and watercourse classification and wildlife feature identification
· Complete environmental fieldwork such as pre‑construction wildlife sweeps, fish habitat assessments, and water quality monitoring
· Communicate effectively with clients and provide clear progress updates to project managers and coordinators
· Mentor and support junior field staff
· Analyze and interpret field data; prepare organized summaries and reports
· Maintain a strong commitment to safety and participate actively in the Health & Safety Program
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree or diploma in biological sciences or a related field
· 3–5 years of relevant environmental field experience
· Ability to work in remote locations and operate ATVs, snowmobiles, and other field equipment
· Strong skills in vegetation ID, soil classification, wildlife ecology, and fish/fish habitat
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong teamwork and collaboration
· Strong critical thinking and problem‑solving abilities
· Preference for candidates with or eligible for professional designations (RPF, R.T.Biol., P.Biol., P.Ag., etc.) or QAES certification

Pay: $75,000.00-$95,000.00 per year
