Environmental, Health & Safety Specialist
1. Development, implementation and maintenance of the Environmental, Health & Safety Systems. Evaluating effectiveness on a continuous basis, identifying areas for improvement, corrective actions and follow up.
2. Identifies the need for continuous improvement and champions change to policies, procedures and engineering controls to ensure compliance with environmental, health & safety regulations and to avoid hazards to employees, visitors, contractors or the general public.
3. Implement and maintains an management systems in accordance with the registered standards including ISO 14001.
4. Monitors environmental, health & safety legislation and trends from federal, provincial and municipal sources. Assesses impact and recommending changes in programs, procedures and policies.
5. Conducts and co-ordinates inspections and audits to identify environmental and safety risks and recommend improvements. Internal audits, workplace inspections, housekeeping audits, etc.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $60,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
