We are currently looking for an Intermediate GIS Analyst to join our growing team that is based out of our downtown Edmonton office.

Some things you will be responsible for:
To be a great GIS Analyst at Carson Integrated you will have experience with most of these areas and are eager to learn and develop the ones you are missing.
• Experience working in the forest industry and are familiar with common forestry datasets and data products
• Experience in using automation and artificial intelligence to improve efficiency and product quality
• Create high-quality cartographic and analytical outputs for both digital and print delivery;
• Conduct analysis and visualization of vector and raster datasets, including 3D data (LiDAR);
• Provide GIS support to internal business units and external customers;
• Contribute to GIS system architecture, including enterprise and cloud-based solutions;
• Collaborate with other professionals to develop client solutions;
• Create and maintain procedures and policies, map templates, and a metadata catalogue and definitions to ensure quality assurance.
Experience and skill set to thrive as an Intermediate GIS Analyst:
• A university degree or technical diploma in GIS or related area;
• 5+ years of relevant GIS experience;
• Forestry or Natural Resources background/experience is preferred;
• Excellent GIS skills with experience using ESRI’s suite of products
• Experience with scripting and automation with Python or Jupyter Notebooks is an asset;
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills and attention to detail required;
• Knowledge and significant experience in spatial data analysis and management required;
• Solid communication skills, both written and verbal;
• Experience with ArcGIS Online, Field Maps, Experience Builder, and mobile data collection workflows is an asset;
• Experience with dashboards, story maps, or interactive data visualizations;
• Experience providing GIS services to industrial clients is an asset;
• And familiarity with SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and ArcGIS Enterprise is an asset;
