Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and curious Explorer to join our team. This role involves conducting field research, collecting and analyzing data, and supporting various exploration projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in geographic information systems, data analysis, and hands-on research activities. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative projects in environmental, geological, or infrastructural exploration, utilizing advanced tools and techniques.
Duties
- Conduct field data collection using GIS tools and other surveying equipment
- Analyze spatial and non-spatial data to support project objectives
- Utilize GIS software such as QGIS for mapping and visualization tasks
- Perform research to gather relevant information for ongoing exploration projects
- Support construction or mechanical activities related to exploration sites as needed
- Collaborate with team members on data interpretation and report preparation
- Maintain detailed records of field activities and collected data for future reference
Requirements
- 1-3 years experience conducting field exploration and/or working on diamond drill programs
- Strong knowledge of GIS platforms including QGIS and related mapping tools
- Data analysis skills with experience in handling large datasets
- Experience in data collection methods within field environments
- Research experience in environmental science, geology, engineering, or related fields
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and carry out physical tasks as required
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Relevant educational background in geography, geology, geophysics, or similar disciplines
