Overview
This position will be primarily located in the clients office in the St. John's, NL region.
This is a temporary requirement (contract) for approximately ten (10) months with an estimated commencement date of mid-May 2026, and potential for extension.
Key Accountabilities
- Work directly with and support the East Coast EH&S and the Wells Project Team to develop required project documentation for upcoming drilling campaign.
- Provide guidance to support the selection of chemicals that minimize risks to personnel and reduce potential impacts to the environment.
- Evaluate and screen chemicals to be used on the client's offshore facilities.
- Support the operator's regulatory and corporate environmental reporting requirements.
Minimum Requirements
- Knowledge of environmental toxicity, WHMIS 2015 and the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals (GHS).
- Experience working in the marine environment and knowledge of offshore oil and gas environmental aspects.
- Completion of a degree in Chemistry, Environmental Sciences, Engineering or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of the C-NLOER Offshore Chemical Selection Guidelines
