Craneium Inc. is seeking a motivated and detail‑driven Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Coordinator to support our team during a leave period. About the Role
The HSE Coordinator will maintain our existing safety, environmental, and compliance programs while ensuring documentation, training records, and regulatory requirements remain up to date. You’ll work closely with operations and field teams to support safe work practices and ensure our COR, ISNetworld, Avetta, SafeContractor, and ComplyWorks requirements remain in good standing.
Responsibilities
- Maintain established HSE policies, procedures, and documentation systems.
- Organize and manage safety, environmental, and project documentation.
- Retrieve, review, and file digital and physical pre-use checklists.
- Maintain SDS library, tool certifications, and equipment maintenance records.
- Prepare project-specific safety documentation (hazard assessments, first aid plans, EPPs, etc.).
- Schedule third-party training and update employee training records and maintain the company training matrix.
- Lead incident investigations and recommend corrective actions.
- Conduct monthly safety meetings and complete planned drills/inspections (fire extinguishers, shop inspections, first aid kits, etc.).
- Manage subcontractor safety documentation and support project mobilization.
- Perform ACSA COR Maintenance Audit (March 2027) & BCCSA Small COR Maintenance Audit (2027)
- Attend customer sites as required.
Qualifications
- NCSO certification required
- Up-to-date (within the last 3 years) Auditor Training Program (ATP) certificate and a Certification of Maintenance through the ACSA
- Proven experience in health, safety, or environmental coordination within the construction or industrial sectors.
- Knowledge of local safety regulations and environmental standards in Canada.
- Strong communication and self management skills.
- Ability to conduct risk assessments and site inspections effectively.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Experience with ISNetworld, Avetta, SafeContractor, and ComplyWorks a bonus.
- Valid driver’s license (minimum Class 5) & clean driver’s abstract
- Strong computer and Microsoft 365 skills (Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel)
The role is structured as an initial 11‑month temporary contract. Following this period, the contract will transition to a month‑to‑month arrangement based on operational needs and performance.
Pay: $65,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
