As demand for environmental due diligence and remediation continues to grow, we are expanding our environmental practice and seeking an experienced professional who wants technical ownership, career growth, and meaningful project involvement.
Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Environmental Engineer/Scientist with a minimum 5+ years of direct experience in Canada conducting Phase I and Phase II and Phase III. This role is ideal for someone who wants to move beyond production work and take an active role in project delivery, client interaction, and technical leadership within a growing consulting firm.
You will work directly with senior leadership and play a key role in delivering environmental assessments across Alberta and Western Canada.
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise, excellent analytical and reporting abilities, and the capacity to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams. A P.Eng or equivalent professional designation is mandatory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct Phase I, Phase II, and Phase III Environmental Site Assessments in accordance with CSA, CCME standards and regulatory requirements.
- Plan and execute field programs including drilling oversight, soil/groundwater sampling, and contractor coordination.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret environmental data to assess site conditions and contamination risks.
- Prepare detailed, high-quality ESA reports and supporting documentation.
- Liaise with clients, regulatory agencies, and contractors to facilitate project delivery and ensure compliance.
- Keep up-to-date with environmental regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Support other environmental consulting projects as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Geoscience, or related discipline.
- P.Eng, P.Geo or equivalent certification is mandatory.
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Canada in Phase I and Phase II and Phase III Environmental Site Assessments (mandatory).
- Strong knowledge of CSA 768/769, CCME guidance, Alberta Tier 1 & Tier 2 guidelines, EPA guidelines, and provincial environmental regulations.
- Experience with drilling programs, borehole logging, soil/groundwater sampling, and data interpretation.
- Demonstrated ability to prepare clear, detailed, and defensible technical reports.
- Strong communication, organizational, and project management skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Compensation:
- Total Annual Compensation -$85,000-$105,000( based on experience)
