This posting is for an Intermediate Remediation Specialist who will be an integral part of the growing Aurora Environmental team. The following characteristics appeal to the ideal candidate:

Roles And Responsibilities Include:
- Perform environmental field assessments; Phase I, II & III ESAs and associated reporting.
- Providing advice and recommendations on project-specific assessments and regulatory requirements
- Developing scope and managing projects of low to high complexity with multiple discipline teams, sub-consultants, and regulatory requirements
- Preparation of regulatory documents on behalf of clients
- Developing and maintaining direct contact with clients and stakeholders
- Coordination of sub-consultants
- Complete professional technical reports
- Complete field work assessments and required reporting
- Promote corporate, safety, and environmental policies
- Other environmental-related projects for clients, as directed
- Mentorship of junior technical staff and consultants
- Developing scopes of work and managing projects of medium to high complexity
Specific Skills And Requirements We Are Seeking Include:
- A minimum of 4 years of consulting experience related to environmental site assessment
- Good understanding of the Alberta Tier 1 Soil and Groundwater Remediation Guidelines and associated technical guidance documents
- Good understanding of upstream oil and gas regulatory requirements in Alberta and Saskatchewan
- Experience with the 2010 Reclamation Criteria for Wellsite’s and Associated Facilities will be considered an asset
- Willingness to travel and be in the field as dictated by project requirements
- Ability to work remotely from a home-based office
- University Degree or Diploma in environmental science or related discipline
- Registration or eligibility to obtain designation with a professional organization in Alberta (i.e., Alberta Institute of Agrologists, APEGA, etc.)
- Excellent communication, writing, and problem-solving skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Proven ability to work within a team environment
- Highly organized and with demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple tasks
The Following Skills And Experiences Will Also Be Critical To Successfully Performing This Role:
- A requirement of working for Aurora is that you are at least 18 years of age and legally entitled to work in Canada. (A copy of a valid work permit may be required.)
- To meet the physical demands required of some positions, candidates must be in good physical condition and willing to work in all weather conditions.

This is an office and field-based position, with potentially long stints in the field, working in remote areas.
